I served 9 1/2 years in the Army Reseves and did a tour in Iraq before becoming a kindergarten teacher. I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, and my Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Xavier University. We also want to get to know the kiddos so we can make class lists that are a good mix of all kiddos.Įach year we hold an ABC/123 Night for our kindergartners who just registered at our school. Kindergarten is where my heart and soul are. We want them to feel comfortable with us so that 1st day of school is happy and very few tears are shed. I am sad to see them leave me although I am looking forward to my summer. Thinking of my kinder babies leaving me is so bittersweet. The end of the year is filled with so many emotions for me.
